Research
I am member of the BaBar experiment at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) and the CMS experiment at CERN.
We have a powerful computer cluster on campus. We are part of the commissioning of the pixel detector for the CMS experiment at LHC, CERN. The first collisions are expected in Fall 2007, and we are preparing monitoring at the DAQ level and of the radiation environment. We also extend our computer cluster towards a Tier-2 center.
