Welcome!

Welcome to the wiki page for the BRM Interface Group of UT - Knoxville. We are a group that is working in collaboration with CERN's CMS experiment to help provide radiation monitoring data to whoever needs it. In particular, the BIG is devoted to developing all of the software and hardware necessary to extract data from the many detectors that are part of the BRM system. Our primary focus is directed toward two particular detectors: the BCM (Beam Conditions Monitor) 1 and BCM 2. These two detectors are focused upon providing CMS with as much protection as possible against adverse beam conditions. For more information about the BRM in general, a good place to start is the Introduction to the BRM, which provides you with an overview of the BRM subsystems, as well as a summary of the responsibilities of the BRM system as a whole.
